My First Visit to Bali — 1991

My First Visit to Bali
Posting 11 Sept               by David:
I was awakened from my sleep by the crowing of the rooster, and the chanting from a near by temple, as the Balinese Orchestra of Life marked the beginning of a new day. I got up and sat at the computer. It was time for the next blog. My First Visit to the Island of Bali in 1991. Prior to my visit I had never heard of Bali.

Exiting the terminal onto the street I instantly felt and knew that Bali was, the Garden of Eden on Earth . . . it was real. The energy that surrounded me felt soft and Golden with the feeling of being totally blessed to be alive and living on this magical island.

Everywhere I looked I saw the perfection of the beauty and oneness of life, nature, as well as the people and God the Creator. Everything was in total peace, balance and harmony with what was around them.

The feeling in my heart was I was home.

Everything is in harmony with nature and life.

Watching the people it was as if they danced upon the land as they moved in physical  spiritual servicefirst to God, their family second and others third. Everything was done with an inner state of Joy — totally free of all judgements, expectations or agendas. It truly was an island of the we and us instead of the I and me.

Balinese live in Harmony with the masculine and feminine energy
within them self and others.

The Balinese live a special model for life that made me smile.
  • To live a good enough life so that when they die they will be instantly reborn again as a Balinese.
  • If they live a really good life they will instantly be reborn to the same village.
  • If they lead a really, really good life they will be instantly reborn to the same family.
This suddenly put words to an old inner feeling that I have had all my life. Life is a gift and we come to Earth to enjoy the gift. As I watched life being played out around me in Bali I added, Earth is where the action it. With a pause I added, and they know how to live it  . . . always in the state of inner peace.

The energy of life is their teacher to help them live in harmony and balance with all of life thus, thus with God the Creator.

Needless to say when my vacation was over there was only one thing to do. Go home  put my things in storage, repack my bags and move back to Bali where I lived for ten  years. I wanted to live in harmony with life like a Balinese.
