Bali is called the Way Shower for Peace.
The Balinese belief is that their outer world is a reflection of their inner world. To bring peace to their outer world they simply bring peace to their inner world. As a result, after the two Bali bombing they focused on bringing more love into their hearts instead of doing battle with the bombers.
The Balinese went each night to their temples to increase the peace in their hearts. After the second bombing and more prayers for inner peace, balance was returned to the hearts of the people. The island of Bali became an island of calm surrounded by a sea of chaos.
This peace is evident in Bali for the Balinese, Muslims, Christians and the Chinese are all living in peace with each other, honoring the others ways of life and religions.
This is evident when one visits the buddhist temple on the North shore of Bali.
There are many water gardens in the Temple. This water lilly is a symbol of the open heart.
